''I Simply Listen''

The workshops are always fun events for me as I get to meet new people and explore new ideas. And today's inspiration is to the young lady who asked my secret to helping people find their inner passions the way I do. I reply......
I start by asking questions
and the answers that I seek
Give focus to your dreams
and help your inner heart to speak
I listen for commitment
in the promises men make
A man will get results
when it's his happiness at stake
I listen for the hunger
in the dreams women pursue
For that predicts the measure
of the things that they will do
I listen for the anger
and the ire that men vent
For many worlds of wealth
have grown from seeds of discontent
I listen for the value
people place on what they love
You'll find that's what they'll likely choose
when push comes down to shove
And sometimes what I hear
are things you wish but never voice
And all I do is offer thoughts
that show you have a choice!
COMMENTARY:
And so it is in many of our relationships. You can be a source of guidance for those you love if you simply listen. Honor their reality, and they'll often tell you what they want to hear.
