and the world just turned my way
It's funny how a few nice words
can brighten up a day
He said, "Why not be open?"
and it proved some good advice
And the next time that it happened
she said yes, and didn't think twice
Esteem is resurrected
then takes flight on new found wings
All from having someone take the time
to say all the right things
For a life at times may wither
like a rose that's dry with gloom
Just a little bit of water
is all it takes for it to bloom!
COMMENTARY:
Maybe it's a simple suggestion from a good friend to do things a little differently. Maybe it's a compliment at a moment of low self-esteem. Maybe it's a yes to an invitation to hang out that turns into something really cool... Never underestimate the power of a little attention, a well-placed word, or a bit of encouragement. It just might be the drop of water that saves a dying rose. Share the blessing and the difference your words can make in another person's life.
