''The Magical Magnet''
as if by order or decree
It seems the world has taken notice
and turned their eyes squarely on me
As if I'm now a fad trendsetter
and all now harken to my cry
Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining
I'm just real eager to know why
Just yesterday the sky was empty
and not a raincloud could be found
But now from rain it's gone to pouring
and things are starting to rebound
What magic magnet is now active?
what mystic force do I exude?
Is it through wish, or will or whimsy,
or just the Universe's mood?
Some say such fortune starts in Heaven
whose plans for us we'll never know
Some say a little drop of water
compels entire crops to grow
Alas, perhaps through all my seeking
I'll find no reason and no rhyme
Or just perhaps, through all my thinking
I simply thought that it was time...
COMMENTARY:
I know I'm not the only person who's ever sat a home minding my own business without a single telephone call coming in for a long stretch of time. And then, as if by magic, one, then two, then three people all call at the same time! Or, maybe you're looking for a job, with no success, and then, as if by magic, one, two, then three job offers all roll in at the same time! It happens all the time in matters of money, relationships, and sometimes even rain! First none, and then, as if by magic, "it rains and then pours." It's almost as if some universal memo got sent out that everyone and everything now feels compelled to respond to! Strange, isn't it?
Well, what if that memo was sent out on the wings of your own thoughts about what you were ready to accept in your life? What if the moment or the night before, somewhere in the recesses of your own mind, you simply said "I'm ready," and the next second or the next day it was so? Wouldn't that be exciting?
I call the bull market of good fortune that ensues after such a thought, the "magical magnet" in action. It can start with a little drop of water from above, or from within, and then your own thoughts about what is possible create a magical magnetic force that attracts more and more of the same stuff into your life.
