If I could wave a magic wand
and have my world transform anew
Oh, what places would I sail to
and what things would I then do!
If I could say some incantation
that would clear the road ahead
I would fear no wall or obstacle
on any path I tread
If some souped-up gray DeLorean
could take me back in time
I'd revisit my life choices
make sure heart and head align
If some fountain or elixir
could rejuvenate these bones
I'd take better care next time around
no cause for aches and groans
If some secret keystroke sequence
could reboot this life I live
I'd optimize for memories
ctrl + alt + delete, forgive
If I could rub a genie's lamp
and have my wishes manifest
I'd wish not just for my happiness,
but that others, too, are blessed!
COMMENTARY:
Wouldn't it be nice to have such a magic wand, a powerful mantra, a time machine or secret potion or magic lamp? Well, the truth is, you already do!! It's your own courage, discipline combined with the magical power of goal-setting. Whatever your dreams and wishes may be, you can achieve them with the courage to start, the discipline to persist and the secret power of writing down your goals every day.
