"Never settle for less
than your dreams at their best!"
--Walt

Don't lose sight of the life you envision
given time you can have what you want
You'll find bitter the taste of a glass poured in haste
with regrets that will linger and haunt

Don't give up on the journey you started
stick it out through the rough and the slow
For what good is a trip or the sail of a ship
reaching places you don't wish to go?

You can have all you've ever imagined!
persevere, stay the course, don't retreat!
For you'll learn this in time that the settler's wine
never does ever taste quite as sweet!

COMMENTARY:
In many ways, I'm an "all or nothing" kind of person. If certain things are not the way I want it, then I'd rather do without. Now don't get me wrong. I'm flexible in many things, but in some regards, I don't want to settle for second.

Maybe you're the same way. Perhaps it's something as simple as the type of furniture in your home, or as important as the person you spend the rest of your life with. You know what you like, and you're willing to hold out 'til you get it. Go for it! Don't let other settlers convince you to join them in "a bitter glass of whine" toasting dreams that never were, or telling you to be "practical" or "realistic." Every sip of the settler's wine is a bitter reminder of the taste you really want!

Hold out for your ideal and best dreams. But, most importantly, do the inner emotional and spiritual work so you can grow and attract your best dreams quickly. That way you won't have to feel pressured to settle because "time is running out." Remember, the thing you seek is also seeking you! But you must become it first!
