''Enough''

that we're all here to compete
The fear of insufficiency
lights fires at our feet
We've bought the grand deception
that in life there's not enough
We fight for love and money
and we view our lives as rough
But ask yourself this question
when abundance is in doubt:
If all of us are really one
who really goes without?
It's naught but misperception, friend
this instinct to "survive"
It's based on the belief
that in some way we've been deprived
The more we're separated
is the more we feel in need
Once wakened from this slumber, though
from struggle we are freed
The more we feel connected
is the less there is to fear
We're part of One. One's all there is
of this you should be clear!
COMMENTARY:
Think about it. If we were all more attached to each other; if we felt and experienced a real connection with everyone else, then my joy and pain would be yours; your happiness and fears would be mine, and the experience of everyone would be felt by us collectively. In such a world there would not be the sense of, or need to grab, collect, and acquire in a state of competition, that which another has, for there would not be that sense of "another-ness" that so pervades our society. In fact, there are societies that operate closer to this ideal. Today, strive to feel connected and feel and experience the world and its wealth and abundance from a feeling of "ours" rather than "mine" and "yours!"
NOTE: Today's life rhyme is inspired by my understanding of the Neale Donald Walsh's Communion With God, and the FOURTH of the Ten Illusions of Humans: that "Disunity" exits. These ten beliefs form the basis of the flawed perception of reality that causes all of mankind's woes. The ten illusions are
1. Need Exists (covered in Life Rhyme #278)
2. Failure Exists (covered in Life Rhyme #280)
3. Disunity Exists covered in Life Rhyme #282)
4. Insufficiency Exists (today's Life Rhyme)
5. Requirements Exist
6. Judgment Exists
7. Condemnation Exists
8. Conditionality Exists
9. Superiority Exists
10.Ignorance Exists
