''Given That It Is''

are how they seem to be
How then should you respond
instead of saying woe is me?
Given that things around you
didn't quite work out as you planned
How best to turn these cards you're dealt
into a winning hand?
It's all in the response
so, you can focus on the flaws
Or simply use events
to help you find your life's great cause
No answers come by saying
"my life's worse than hers or his..."
You find them when you start by saying
"Given that it is..."
COMMENTARY:
Perhaps that was not who you were meant to be.
Perhaps that was not what you were sent to do.
Perhaps you are moving towards a goal you can't yet see.
Perhaps you are creating a new edition of you. Note: The first few Walt's Friday Inspiration emails included quotes from various authors and personalities. It wasn't until episode 19 that I tried my hand at writing the rhyme-based inspirational messages myself. The rest, as they, is history...
