how could I've been so wrong?
To let myself be duped and tricked
and fooled for quite so long?
Oh no, what if for all this time
it's been within my power
To choose not just the who and where
but month, week, day and hour?
Oh, man...then that would mean, in fact
I've wasted precious time
Perhaps it's best if I believe
the choices were not mine
Each day more pieces fall in place
each day things follow plan
Just goes to show what you can do
when you just think you can
Yes, day by day the folly's clear
of all that I've been taught
I realize the truth.... and things
are easier than I thought!
COMMENTARY:
What a waste it would be if you lived your whole life and never even attempted to find out. I don't know about you, but I just couldn't live with the daily haunting of not knowing! Note: The first few Walt's Friday Inspiration emails included quotes from various authors and personalities. It wasn't until episode 19 that I tried my hand at writing the rhyme-based inspirational messages myself. The rest, as they, is history...
