''Sellers Market''

When markets close and scores are tallied
"sellers" always win the day
The ones who hawk their wares eternal
always know just what to say

But "buyers" meanwhile wonder
if what they're getting is pure gold
No matter how the purchase pleases
they only choose from what they're sold

What's true for stocks and bonds and products
holds true for love, ideas and thought
Yes, any thing you have of value
was sold first, and then bought

So set a worth that makes you priceless
then make your pitch and make it count
And every part of you that's selling
endears you by the same amount

(So you can wait and then be sold to,
or you can be the one to sell.
They'll never know your wit and wonder
unless it shows or 'til you tell)

COMMENTARY:
How will they know just how valuable, and lovable, and wonderful and witty and caring and loving and likeable you are....unless you sell it or tell it? Don't be above selling. You do it every day, and in every way. You sell your skills to an employer, you sell your product to the world, you sell "the joy of getting to know you" to the one you fancy....In regards to selling, it's been shown that most businesses fail, (and most hearts go untouched) because their owners don't know how to sell, or they feel they shouldn't have to. Don't make that mistake. Sell! Sell! Sell! (Not to be confused with "selling out" or "selling yourself short" or "selling your soul") Note: The first few Walt's Friday Inspiration emails included quotes from various authors and personalities. It wasn't until episode 19 that I tried my hand at writing the rhyme-based inspirational messages myself. The rest, as they, is history...
