''The Marketplace Called Life''

if that's the thing most dear
Pay with time now gone forever
and maybe now your ears will hear
Pay with happiness and laughter
and then you'll choose a different way
Each day's experience holds a lesson
and each time you'll have to pay
But when your own inner value
exceeds the world's beyond a doubt
Your currency will be a different kind
and then you'll never do without
COMMENTARY:
The marketplace of life is such that you trade the thing of most value to you for the lessons you need to learn. What do you most value? Is it your reputation, your money, your time?
If time is your most valuable asset then the lessons you learn will rob you of time. If money is your most valued possession then your particular lessons will always be quite expensive.
You always pay for what you learn. The currency of your life buys you experience and wisdom. But you can get all you need for free free if you simply value the right thing. Note: The first few Walt's Friday Inspiration emails included quotes from various authors and personalities. It wasn't until episode 19 that I tried my hand at writing the rhyme-based inspirational messages myself. The rest, as they, is history...
