''The Next Soul Step''

Is it time for me to move on?
is that what this is all about?
For it seems the clues I'm getting
have gone from whisper to a shout

Should I explore some other options
see what lies out there ahead?
Or should I give this one more chance
work on reviving it instead?

Maybe I've learned all I can learn here
seen all that there is to see
Elevated my mind's awareness
took a soul step from A to B

For when the journey seems too stressful
beyond the normal ups and downs
Look for the path of least resistance
that's where your next soul step can be found

COMMENTARY:
What are the clues you're getting about the journey you're on with your job, your home, your friendships or your partner?

Is the business interaction strained? Are you always at odds with each other? Are you being constantly disappointed? Is it getting harder and harder to do what used to be so easy?

Sometimes when the hill gets steeper, you might be nearing a plateau of personal growth, or you might be wise to seek another path to get to the top.

There's a difference between struggle and stress.

The struggle of necessary growth feels different from the unnecessary stress of people and processes you've outgrown. You tell the difference by asking yourself:

Is there another way to reach my goal without the stress?

Is this struggle helping or hindering me?

Is this person supporting or sabotaging?

Is the experience making me a better person in any way? Or is it a sign I need to find a better path? Ask. Answer. Act. Note: The first few Walt's Friday Inspiration emails included quotes from various authors and personalities. It wasn't until episode 19 that I tried my hand at writing the rhyme-based inspirational messages myself. The rest, as they, is history...
