Most of us don't seem to notice
the news we hear each day is sad
That someone's made a decision
to harp and focus on the bad
Well an Inspiration is meant to counter
the flood of negativity day to day
From news, tv and other people
who don't realize the power of what they say
Our lives, our jobs, our children
could use a boost and that's a fact
And like a single smile or hug each day
there's great power in simple acts
See, the solution is all too simple:
we need to focus on the good
And few other places can you hear
such words repeated as they should
Your situation is what changes
the life-challenge you bring to bear
That determines what it means to you
and influences what you hear

I'm simply sharing what I know
Intent on giving thoughts of hope
that others may choose to use to grow.

Consider the Inspirations your weekly smile in the face of adversity; a hug in a world that's been pushed too far apart. Remember, keep it simple! Note: The first few Walt's Friday Inspiration emails included quotes from various authors and personalities.
