The ego line, the taste of wine
the lover's pine and such
Will find you when you're falling
and you'll use them as your crutch

The childish ruse, the lame excuse
the self-abuse and more
Present themselves as options
when you're heading for the floor

The strength of kings, to cut your strings
and find your wings then fly
That's what you'll need to stop the fall
and kiss your fears goodbye

COMMENTARY:
Free falling? Whether it's a new business venture or a new relationship sometimes pursuing and acting on a dream feels like you're in a state of uncontrollable free fall with the ground rushing up towards you. The temptation to return to the old ways-to distract yourself with ego-gratification, excessive indulgences, the victim's role, games, excuses and self-sabotage-will be great. Resist them, my friend Yes, it will require your strength and the courage to first find then try new wings. But take heed, free fall is never dangerous for those who know they can fly.

For inner will, and winner's skill
can fill an empty cup
And no one need fear falling
when the ground comes rushing up
