''Pay Attention''
Have you ever made a decision, acted on a feeling, set a goal or embarked on a journey, and felt certain that the universe was dropping little clues in your path letting you know you made the right choice? Maybe it's just me, but I believe that there are no accidents, that every event, from a headline on a newspaper being read by someone in front of me, to the words I hear in a passing conversation, to the page my book falls open to provides a message for me to use. I receive validation of ideas, encouragement of my goals from the strangest places. Sometimes even my typos in my letters and books are giving me clues!
Was that really a wrong number? or maybe a chance to learn some valuable information or make a friend that you just might need? Hmmm. So when I see or hear echos of my life on the news, on the radio, or in a song, I know that it's the universe telling me I'm on the right track!

it speaks to you
slip of the tongue?
a TV ad?
could be advice
you'll wish you had
a stranger's words?
lyrics in song?
might be a hint
of right and wrong
a nagging hunch?
a random thought?
a signal sent
a lesson taught
a misdialed call?
perhaps more true:
"Universe calling"
