''My List''
I made a list just yesterday
of things I plan to do
Activities that hold life's joy
come far between and few
And though I wrote with eager heart
an emptiness descended
It seems that what I really miss
are friendships that have ended
For when I think of joyous times
what stands out more than places
More than the where and what of it
are others' smiling faces
So now my list includes much more
than things and trips and gifts
Beside my blessings are special names
of friends to share them with
