proving to all beyond doubt

Some dropped out along the way
bright shining faces filled with hope
Who let impatience steal their dreams

Many with us at the beginning
have disappeared without a hint
Some you thought were distance runners
turned out to be in it just to sprint
But like I said though we're still here
we know the score, we know the deal
In a race where runners falter
the secret to success I shall reveal:
See if 9 out of 10 stop running
and give up hope and lose the race
The only thing you need to be victor
is to commit to keep up the pace!

COMMENTARY:
Success is indeed a journey, the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. Whether in business, marriage, friendship, or family many who don't get it will never stick around long enough to experience the joy of the journey. Failure is nothing more than stopping and allowing the race to go on without you.
