looked back at me
and said, "So must he be!"
And lit a flame
inside of me
that proved to be the key
Then present me
found strength to be
the me I had to be
To bring to be
the future me
that fate said I should be
COMMENTARY:
According to certain advanced thought, time is not linear, but all of time exists at the same time. In other words, events don't happen in sequence, they all exist at once, and all elements of time (past, present and future) affect each other. Your past affects your future, but your future also affects your past. What if the future you is affecting the present you? What if the present you is exerting influence on the past you? What if who you are today is not the result of who were in the past, but who you will become in the future?
