that was holding back my good
That fate, and luck and cards and stars
against me did conspire
It made no sense to why they should
my plight just seemed to me that dire
And then one night it hit me clear
a trick I've used when all else failed
When good seemed locked away in vaults
it works for all I'm sure
I didn't worry, wonder, weep or wail....
I simply tried another door
