She said she needed a system
but I had none I could offer
no tried and true way to make time bend to her will

I said the answer's much deeper
than any pilot or planner
it's about self-expectation I'm afraid there's no magic pill

"I try so hard to be on time
for each appointment," she added.
"But I keep missing the boat, so tell me what should I do?"

When you see yourself as a winner
you'll act in line with that self-image
and do all that you can to make that vision of you be true

For those who don't show up on time
are not their own first priority
they've devalued themselves and placed something else up above

For you will notice in life
people make time for what they value
and they never need a system to be on time for what they love

Time it's true is just illusion
but can be servant or master
it can come when you beckon or it can flee and ignore

It seeks out those with a purpose
and favors those who are focused
time even seems to pass slower for those who love themselves more

Dedicated to S.W. Note: The first few Walt's Friday Inspiration emails included quotes from various authors and personalities. It wasn't until episode 19 that I tried my hand at writing the rhyme-based inspirational messages myself. The rest, as they, is history...
