''Stay On Track''

What would I be doing
if everything were going right?
would I be sitting here all glum
in a state of panic o'er my plight?

Who would I be calling
if the pressures were gone away?
I'd be planning some new goal to reach
and rehearsing what to say

What would I be thinking of
if the roadblocks were not there?
most likely deep in thoughts of love
and not in thoughts of fear

So that's what I'll be doing, then
from now on despite what seems
for obstacles are what you see
with eyes taken off your dreams!

COMMENTARY: Don't allow yourself to be sidetracked by
the seemingly urgent fires that often pop
up in life. Remain focussed on the necessary
tasks that would be in view and that
require a simple shift in perception to
see clearly once again.
