''How to Stay Above it All''

Make peace with every option
and they'll never take control
And you'll never have your freedom
held and ransomed for their gold

Speak truth to every argument
fight not with nail and tooth
For the weapons of deceivers
hold no sway in wars of truth

Act justly to all people
and walk fearless through the night
Leave peering over shoulders
to the men who act from spite

Be true to thine own self
and mind and heart will then be free
Your purpose spares you thoughts
of who to be or not to be

When you deal the deck deception
be assured the destined fall
But on paths of justice
that is how you'll stay above it all
