''With New Eyes''

With old eyes I see what's normal
and act out my tried and true
With new eyes I see what's natural
and forever choose to see anew

Often when I'm in the midst of a negative emotion and am beset with fear, anger, resentment or other feelings of pity, victimization or self-recrimination, it helps to remember that the path to happiness begins with stepping out of what's normal and moving towards what's natural. If it's normal for you to feel unhappy, are you open to feeling differently? Many of us say we are, but often choose to replay the old mental recordings of self-doubt and fear rather than more natural ones of love, peace forgiveness, and acceptance.

Are you willing to move to a new place from which to view the world? Or, are you an major shareholder and investor in the stock club of unhappiness--waiting for a return on years of regular investments?

Simply affirm: "I am willing to see things differently." And don't worry if you don't have any idea just how a given situation can be viewed differently, have faith that the answers will arrive in time. Sometimes merely the willingness to see things differently can bring a calm to an otherwise stressful set of circumstances in your life, that makes new sight possible. And it's from this place that all things can be seen anew.
